The Venue

The venue will be simple, unassuming, maybe even modest in its size - but will draw people in for its neighborhood, local vibe. The atmosphere will speak for itself: nothing over-produced or over-engineered - just good music, good people, and good beer in a clean and comfortable space. We will be the perfect venue for up-and-coming bands to play intimate shows for their loyal underground fans, and we’ll strive to create the perfect environment so that our audience can focus on just the music and the experience.

The concept for the venue itself leans towards “industrial-modern”: perhaps brick walls with steel beams overhead. Clean, comfortable - somewhere you’d want to go to just grab a beer with a friend on a Tuesday night. Regardless of the materials, the bar will feature several taps for local craft beers, and ciders, sharing space with other local liquors from surrounding areas of Connecticut. A back of the house green room will give musicians a comfortable space to relax before and unwind after the show. Natural acoustics and overall layout and atmosphere are key elements of the space that will create the perfect show.

Why Greater Hartford?

The Greater Hartford area has unique opportunities and endless potential, sitting halfway between two major music cities in the Northeast. Many up-and-coming bands who are just beginning to establish themselves in the industry and with fans will tour all throughout New England. Often times, you might find them playing shows in places like Albany, Burlington, or even Portland - but not many stop in Connecticut, and if they do, it is likely still an hour or so away from music-lovers in the Greater Hartford or Southern Massachusetts areas.

Another advantage of the Greater Hartford area is that it’s perfectly located in the center of the state. This makes it an ideal place for touring musicians to stop and play a show on their route through New England. Our state is small and people aren’t afraid of driving to the ends of the state in order to support something they love. Bringing live music into the heart of the state will benefit small businesses and restaurants, the booming craft beverage scene, and the local arts scene. A quality venue of this size and quality is missing from the Greater Hartford area and we aim to bring more music, more people, and more excitement back into this re-emerging local community.
